45 years in business

Forty-five years at the heart of the village.

Village Flair Hair & Beauty is a family-run hair salon and nail studio in Ashington, West Sussex. Belinda founded it in 1981, and it has looked after the village’s hair ever since. Belinda runs the salon with hairdressers Jennie, who has been here twenty-three years, and Amy, who has been here ten. Every one of them is trained in every aspect of hairdressing. Belinda’s daughter-in-law, Nem, runs Rose Nails under the same roof.

Every appointment is booked by telephone, so when you ring, you speak to the salon itself. We use Wella Professionals products for everything we do, and sell Wella aftercare to take home.

The salon has two rooms, we offer teas and coffees, and we look after everyone from children to pensioners. We are just off the A24, close to Storrington, Washington, Thakeham, West Chiltington, Pulborough and Steyning.

  • I can be a bit of a salon-phobe. I have always had a general disliking of the atmosphere and feeling self-conscious. However, I have to say this salon is just divine. Amy was my stylist, and she was so warm and welcoming from the moment I walked in. She gave informed and great style advice and helped correct a previous mishap. I felt at ease and comfortable throughout and am so looking forward to my next appointment! She even asked what I had planned with my day and styled my hair accordingly. She's a gem!
